Newly renovated Raye Theatre, Hondo, Texas, USA.

The original inhabitants of the area were the Coahuiltecan people in 1881 Non-indigenous settlers to the area came from Alsace-Lorraine, Germany, Belgium and Mexico.
In the early 1920s, Hondo was the scene of two bank robberies carried out by the Newton Gang, the most successful outlaws in U.S. history. Both bank heists occurred the same night.
