Will Carling,rugby legend, UK

Will Carling retired from rugby in 1998 and is one of England’s longest-serving and youngest captains!

I visited Carling at his beautiful home in 2004 when he was a patron of the Breast Cancer Campaign - a subject close to his heart. Carling’s mother was diagnosed with breast cancer when he was only nine months old.

The flagship fundraising event for Breast Cancer Campaign’s was the very successful ‘Wear it Pink’ event -- a massive fundraising effort with many celebrities and MPs donning pink hats, feathers, tee shirts or simply the famous pink ribbon badge. As official patrons, these personalities donate time to help raise awareness of the charitable work that charities do in providing vital information and support.
